Reception have been creating their faces using our loose parts area. We have to carefully select the objects we are going to use from all the different loose parts we have. They are amazing!

For Earth Day today (22/4/26) we read 10 things I can do to help my world. We talked about the different things we could do at home and at school to help the environment.
Eirini "I am going to switch the lights off at home."
Muhammad "I am going to put rubbish in the bin."
Faris "I will turn the tap off when I am brushing my teeth."
Aydan "I will eat my food and not waste it."
Ayaat "I will turn the taps off when I have washed my hands."
Azaliyah "I will water the plants."

During Spring Term 2 we have enjoyed reading and recalling the Gingerbread man story. In Science week we made (and ate) our own Gingerbread people!
On red nose day, Red watch from Bournbrook fire station visited us. They showed us all the equipment they use when they help rescue people from fires and car accidents.
As part of our White Rose Maths lessons we have been learning about the different ways to make 10.

Animals in Hands visit 🐸🐰🐍🦉
Reception's topic this half term was all about hot and cold. We were so lucky to have a visit in school from Animals in Hands. During our workshop Mo showed us some amazing animals that come from different habitats (both hot and cold climates) We were so brave handling a variety unusual animals whilst learning lots of key facts about them.
