School Meals
At Tiverton Academy we want the school meal experience to be an enjoyable and healthy one. Our catering team and school staff work hard to ensure that we provide good food that is not only healthy but also tasty and attractive. Each day we provide a meat and vegetarian option along with a selection of salad and a dessert option. We work extremely hard to promote the benefits of a healthy balanced diet and realise the importance of establishing healthy eating habits with our pupils. Our menus are well balanced and nutritious offering pupils an exciting choice for each school day. Please click on the link below to view our menu.
Snacks
No children should bring sweets, chocolate or drinks in with them to eat in the playground. Children are allowed to bring a piece of fruit to eat at playtime. The only other food brought in should be part of a packed lunch that will be eaten in the dining hall.
School Uniform
Our school uniform is compulsory. All uniform can be bought online www.brigadeuniformdirect.uk.com. If you do not have access to the internet some items of the school uniform can be purchased in school. Just ask at the school office.
Boys

● White polo shirt or white shirt
● Grey trousers
● Black school shoes
Girls
● School jumper or cardigan with school logo
● White polo shirt or white shirt
● Grey trousers, skirt or pinafore

● Navy blue head scarf (if worn)
A school bag can also be purchased
(You will only need to buy the school logo jumpers and cardigans from Brigade - it's more economical to use supermarkets/shops for the rest of the school uniform)
No jewellery. Stud earrings are allowed, but no hoops or dangling earrings.

ORDERS ARE PLACED IN A QUEUE UNTIL THE 15th AND 30th OF EACH MONTH AND ARE DELIVERED INTO SCHOOL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. EVERYTHING that you have brought for your child must be labelled - including bags, shoes, coats, hats, scarves, underwear etc.
You will need a Tiverton Academy Book bag which can be purchased from the school office or online via the brigade schoolwear website and they are priced at around £6.50.
Your child will need a water bottle with their name on. This bottle will be brought into school every day filled with fresh water only and taken home at the end of each day.

We regularly hold pre-loved uniform sales at schools fayre and events. If you would like to purchase second hand uniform please come and speak to the school office.

On the day of your child's birthday he/she is allowed to wear their own clothes to school for the whole day. Unfortunately we are not allowed to give out birthday cake due to health and safety food regulations.
